Serengeti National Park » General Information » Weather

The weather in the Serengeti National Park is moderate and pleasant all year round. There are two rainy seasons - one from October to November and the other from March to April - that manifest in the form of dramatic afternoon thundershowers.

The migration is intimately tied to the rains, which means that while there is a set pattern to the phenomenon, the exact times at which it will happen can vary from year to year. Read our Guide to the Migration.
