What To Pack for the Serengeti

For a Serengeti safari experience you want to wear light, cool, long-sleeved clothing that's not too bright in colour. Long sleeves are important for protection from mosquitoes as well as from the African sun.

On that note, you should definitely take a sun hat and sun cream. The African sun is particularly harsh, and you're at serious risk of getting sunburned if you spend a lot of time outdoors, as you will if you're on safari.

The Serengeti is camera country and you'll need many rolls of film or plenty of memory for your digital camera. Binoculars are also an essential accessory.
