The Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge is set high on a hill with views across the savannah. The design of the lodge is based on a traditional African village with individual thatched huts giving you that 'Out of Africa' feeling. Great attention has been paid to both architectural and decorative detailing and the lodge is a photographer's joy.
Derived from the Masai word 'siringet' meaning endless plains, the Serengeti is one of the world's last great wildlife refuges. The abundance of game includes the Big 5 as well as gazelle and a rich variety of birdlife. Activities on offer include daily game drives, guided nature trails and balloon safaris.
Every evening you can enjoy traditional dance performances, wildlife and cultural talks, or sip a sunset cocktail by the rim-flow pool. There are also relaxing massages and beauty treatments on offer, plus an extensively stocked African gift shop and safari boutique.

DiningAt Serengeti Serena you can choose between safari favourites, local specialities and internationally themed dishes. The 2-tier dining room is styled to resemble the audience chamber of a tribal king with massive papyrus-topped pillars and 'Makonde' carvings.
Exciting outdoor dining options include a full safari breakfast, cooked in the bush, or a 'bush barbecue' lunch staged on a bluff overlooking the Mbingwe Valley.
Each of the 66 luxury bedrooms at Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge is housed in a thatched 'rondavel' hut and has a natural stone bathroom with a shower (no bath). These huts are furnished with authentic carved wooden furniture and decorated with indigenous African art and handicrafts.
Each room has a balcony where you can sit and take in the view of the vast Serengeti plains.
