The Olduvai Gorge Museum makes for fascinating perusal, displaying fossils and recreations of the kind of extinct species that lived in the area millions of years ago.

Wildlife viewing in the Serengeti is abundant, with plenty of opportunities to spot the predators; lions, cheetahs and leopards are all common sightings in the Serengeti plains.
