Tabora

Tabora is a medium-sized town of 150,000 people and the administrative centre of the Tabora region. Many, if not all, railway lines through central Tanzania run through Tabora's hectic railway station.

Tabora may be the oldest settlement in the Tanzania's interior, but it hasn't a great deal to see or do. Its atmosphere is friendly and laid-back, and its tree-shaded avenues put a welcome dent in the very hot daytime temperatures of the region, but it's unlikely you'll want to visit it unless you're on your way to somewhere else.
