Tarangire offers 2 accommodation options:
For a unique luxury camping experience, you can stay in spacious, sturdy and comfortable tents built on a solid base under thatched roofs. The tents have screened windows and en suite stone-walled bathrooms. In front of each tent is a small veranda where you can sit, relax, admire the view, and watch the wildlife. The large canvas doors unzip to reveal the bedroom with two comfortable single beds, a writing table and chair. The honeymoon suite is situated near a secluded overlook of the river and is furnished with a large double bed made of old dhow wood. The bathrooms include a solar-heated shower with ample hot water, flush toilet, and a dressing room with a wash basin, mirror, clothes rack and laundry basket.
Alternatively, there are bungalows built from local stone in the circular style of Masai huts. Their thick walls, large windows and thatched roof ensure that they remain cool even in the heat of the day. The rooms are tastefully furnished and spacious, light and airy. Electric lights and sockets are powered by the camp generator (220V). In the bedroom you will find a double and a single bed. The bathroom is spacious and bright with a large shower and plenty of solar heated water. The dressing area is equipped with a wash basin and a flush toilet. In front of the bungalow is a smaller thatched hut with folding safari chairs and a table, which serves as your veranda. It offers a great view down into the valley and is the perfect spot to sip on sundowners after a day's game viewing.
