Pemba Channel Zanzibar

Running from the north-west of Pemba Island to the northern tip of Zanzibar Island are the famous fishing grounds of the Pemba Channel - considered Africa's best marlin fishing destination and one of the best all-round fishing destinations in the world.

Levan Banks, a diving spot on the north coast near the Pemba channel, is a very popular dive with advanced divers. The strong currents and deep waters of the channel offer some spectacular diving ogling the marine life.

For fishing folk, there's plenty of big game fish such as barracuda, dorado, and six species of billfish that inhabit these waters. There are a number of reputable and professional fishing companies on Zanzibar Island.
