Mnemba Island Lodge offers privacy in a romantic and rustic setting and is situated within a marine reserve comprising distinct habitats which are home to a diverse array of Indian Ocean wildlife.
Sheer unpretentious paradise, the architecture of Mnemba Island Lodge offers beautiful sea views, an island crafts shop and adventures such as snorkelling, scuba diving, kayaking, fly fishing and swimming directly from the beach.
You may chill in the lounge area that has wireless internet or plug in your ipod, select a book about marine life from the library and recline in a comfy easy-chair. Games are also available if you decide to leisure around the lodge. A bar fridge is available which will be stocked according to your preference.
Excellent bird watching, beautiful walks around the island or simply suntanning on the pristine beach may also be enjoyed. Optional extras include diving courses, deep-sea fishing, a tour of the ancient 'Spice Island' of Zanzibar and a range of relaxing massages and therapeutic treatments.

Mnemba Island Lodge is located on private Mnemba Island, just off the coast of Zanzibar, Tanzania, in the Indian Ocean.
Mnemba Island Lodge offers thatched dining and sitting/bar areas with beautiful open views of the beach and spectacular coral reefs beyond.
Lunch is selected by you, a menu is drawn up everyday which you can discuss with your butler.
Baskets of fresh fruit, fish, lobsters, crabs and prawns are sailed into Mnemba daily on traditional ngalawa outriggers, and prepared as exotic delicacies which are served on the beach each night or on the outside banda. On some occasions, delicious beach BBQ's occur.
For romantics, Mnemba Island Lodge can organize a private beach dinner where you and your partner will feel the waves gently lapping at your feet.
Hand-woven from traditional Zanzibarian palm-matting, each of the 10 secluded beachside bandas has a spacious veranda and is hidden in the shade of a tropical beach forest, fringed by the pristine beaches that halo the island.
A palm-covered walkway leads to an en-suite bathroom with a shower and basin.
Zanzibar is famous for its intricate, detailed woodcarvings and the scrolled headboards adorning the beds are created by some of the island's most skilled artisans.
Overhead fans are provided in the bedroom and lounge area & the dressing room behind the bedroom.
