Ocean Paradise Resort is set within 6.5 acres of colourful gardens and an extensive natural palm grove, which leads to a white sandy beach and the azure Indian Ocean.

An East African influence is incorporated into the design of the hotel from its traditional thatched buildings and interior décor, to the Maasai warrior who greets you on arrival.

Activities abound in and around this luxury resort, you can choose to do watersports; windsurfing, sailing, kayaking and scuba diving as the resort is a licensed PADI centre. Other activities include beach volleyball, billiards and table tennis.

You can also take part in one of the many excursions to see the sights of the exotic island of Zanzibar, such as visiting the spice plantations, Jozani Forest or historical Stone Town.

Ocean Paradise Resort, Zanzibar features 2 restaurants that offer fine food prepared using only the best in local and imported produce.

The Ocean Restaurant, sitting 2 floors up, has panoramic views over the resort and the Indian Ocean beyond. The restaurant serves a sumptuous breakfast with an array of freshly baked produce, freshly squeezed juices, local fruits and traditional cooked dishes. In the evening, soft candlelight changes the mood to accompany the extensive themed buffet which changes daily.

The Jahazi Restaurant with its great location by the pool, serves a variety of snacks and wood-fired pizzas. The menu offers an à la carte selection of international and authentic Zanzibari dishes.

Entertainment changes daily, from traditional African dancers, acrobats and the house band, to big screen sports broadcasts and sports competitions.

Accommodation at Ocean Paradise Resort consists of 100 traditional, makuti-thatched African roundhouses. Some rooms are positioned on a rise on the escarpment, while others are set closer to the beach in the large palm grove.

Rooms are fully air-conditioned and decorated in a tribal African style with comfortable twin or king-size beds draped with mosquito netting. Facilities include satellite TV & radio, direct dial telephone, mini-bar, and a unique curved en-suite bathroom, with shower, toilet and bidet.
