Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1

Embark on your adventure

Arrive at Cape Town International Airport where you will be met and transferred to 2Inn1 Kensington, a renovated Victorian guesthouse located in Oranjezicht, a fashionable Cape Town neighbourhood near the city centre.

After checking in, spend the rest of the day exploring. Cape Town's museums, shops, bars and restaurants are within walking distance of the guesthouse, and staff will be happy to make recommendations and arrange transport for you.

Days 2-3

Tour the Mother City

There's more sightseeing today as you embark on an inclusive half-day Cape Town City Tour; you'll also get the chance to view Cape Town from the top of iconic Table Mountain, one of the stops on the tour.

You have two full days here to pack in the fun: enjoy the gorgeous city beaches of nearby Clifton and Camps Bay, do a little shopping at the ever-popular V&A Waterfront, visit Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens or the Two Oceans Aquarium, or head for the Constantia Wine Route for some wine tasting: there's no shortage of things to see and do in Cape Town!

Return to 2Inn1 Kensington after a full day of adventures and enjoy a dip in the 10m solar-heated pool or unwind in the hot jacuzzi.

Day 4

Experience luxury on Rovos Rail

Transfer to Cape Town Station and board Rovos Rail's 'Pride of Africa' for your journey to Pretoria. Depart and spend the rest of the day at leisure aboard 'The Pride' - the South African steam train regarded as perhaps the most luxurious in the world.

This is one of the most stylish and comfortable ways to view the ever-changing South African landscape - sit back and let the scenery unfold as you glide north.

Day 5

Making your way to Kimberley

You will arrive in the Karoo town of Matjiesfontein early in the morning for a brief visit to this historical railway town. The Pride of Africa will then continue through picturesque scenery while you enjoy lunch in the dining car.

Day 6

Arriving in Pretoria

Shortly after breakfast you will arrive in the diamond town of Kimberley. Here you will spend the morning visiting the famous Big Hole and the Diamond Museum. You will also enjoy a trip on an old-fashioned tram.

Upon returning to the train, lunch will be served and you'll head off again on your journey, reaching Pretoria in grand style in the early evening.

Once you have arrived in Pretoria, you will be transferred to Johannesburg to check in at The Peech Hotel, situated in the fashionable Melrose area.
