An early morning flight will take you to Pemba in Mozambique where a charter flight will take you to beautiful Matemo Island, just off the coast. Relax in style at this private and secluded resort as you spend your first afternoon reclining on a lounger beside the swimming pool, taking in both the sunshine and your new and beautiful surroundings.

Matemo is a classically spectacular 'desert island' where you can enjoy long walks to discover hidden coves and deserted beaches, or you can simply just relax and unwind at the multi-faceted resort.

Spend the next few days exploring the island's unspoilt coral reefs on scuba diving and snorkelling excursions or try your hand at big-game fishing. There are several watersports and activities on offer such as water skiing and wind surfing, while day tours to nearby islands can be arranged, as can romantic beach dinners and sunset dhow cruises.

Catch a short flight after breakfast to a tiny sliver of sand marooned in the turquoise sea - the private island of Medjumbe. This spectacular destination offers true barefoot luxury and a host of beach and water activities.

Spend the next few days here soaking up the sun, enjoying delicious, fresh seafood grills and unwinding on deserted beaches. For the avid scuba diver there are 12 phenomenal dive sites nearby but these clear waters are also excellent for snorkelling.

Take a picnic basket to an uninhabited island for a romantic and secluded lunch and afterwards wander the stunning beaches that encircle the island or lie in a hammock set up in the shallow waters by the resort staff.
