Arrive at Maun Airport and be transferred via a scenic air charter to Khwai River Lodge. This long-established lodge overlooks the animal-packed Khwai River floodplains and offers accommodation in luxury tents raised on wooden decks.

After a light lunch, spend the early afternoon at leisure or follow your guide as you take a nature walk along the wildlife-packed Khwai River. An afternoon game drive will leave after tea, usually returning to camp via a spotlit night drive.

After an active day you can enjoy a massage or beauty treatment at the in-house spa before indulging in a delicious dinner in the outside boma or in the covered dining area. For something different, visit a local village to learn more about local culture or do some amazing post-dinner stargazing.

This morning you'll board a charter flight to Savute Elephant Lodge, set in the middle of the famous Chobe National Park, a 12 000 km conservation area that is home to Southern Africa's largest population of elephants.

Savute is serious big game country and famous for both its elephants and its dense concentration of predators - not least its large lion prides and hyena packs. Game drives in open safari vehicles are offered in the mornings and late afternoons, and the bird watching - especially in summer - is phenomenal. You don't even need to leave camp to get great game sightings. The lodge's busy waterhole can be viewed from the comfort of the pool or your private deck.

End an exciting day with a sundowner drink before sitting down for a delightful traditional dinner in the open-air boma.
