Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1

Make your way to the Selous Game Reserve

Arrive at the Dar es Salaam Airport and board a scheduled charter flight to the Selous Game Reserve. Transfer from the airstrip by open game vehicle to the Sand Rivers Selous.

Settle into your tented safari suite and marvel at the tranquil views of the Rufiji River from your private veranda. Keep an eye out for the river's resident inhabitants, including hippos and crocodiles.

Days 2-3

Discover the wildlife in Selous

Spend the day exploring in open 4x4 vehicles, or go on a walking safari in the company of your knowledgeable guide. Fishing and boating are also among the list of things to do, not to mention the excellent bird watching.

Lazy afternoons can be spent beside the pool or reading on your veranda. Also, visit the game-viewing platform for some great photo opportunities. Toast a perfect day while watching the sunset before you sit down for a delicious dinner.

Day 4

Flying to Dar es Salaam

This morning, transfer back to the airstrip for your flight to Tanzania's economic capital, Dar es Salaam.

Make your way to the Dar Es Salaam Serena Hotel, which is situated in the heart of this bustling East African city where you’ll spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 5

Fly to the remote Vamizi Island

Today, you’ll fly to the remote Vamizi Private Island in the stunning Quirimbas Archipelago in Mozambique. Your private villa looks out over its own stretch of beach, complete with deck chairs and Swahili-style day-beds.

Spend your time relaxing and soaking up the sun at this luxurious resort on the north side of the island.

Days 6-9

Experience paradise in the Quirimbas Archipelago

Enjoy your pick of 16 amazing dive sites just waiting to be explored. Snorkelling and diving equipment are available, and both experienced divers and beginners are welcome to enjoy the marvellous coral reefs.

Take a relaxing walk along the many hiking trails leading you through the coastal forests. Discover the island's vibrant wildlife, including samango monkeys, giant coconut crabs, turtles, and the many endemic bird species.

We also recommend guided or solo kayaking through the mangroves, or sailing trips in a traditional dhow. End a great day with dinner served on the beach.

Day 10

End in Dar es Salaam

After breakfast, fly back to Dar es Salaam for your connecting flight home. Your tour officially ends upon arrival at the House of Peace.
