Day 1

Arrive in South Luangwa

Arrive in Zambia's capital of Lusaka where you'll board a short flight to Mfuwe. From here, you will be transferred to Mfuwe Lodge, set in the wildlife prolific and beautiful South Luangwa National Park.

Settle into your room where you can admire your surroundings; the lodge is set beneath a canopy of ebony and mahogany and overlooks a lagoon. Relax and perhaps enjoy a spa treatment before sitting down to a delicious meal and admiring the magnificent views.

Days 2-3

Search for wildlife in South Luangwa

Head deeper in the South Luangwa today as you transfer to Bilimungwe Camp, situated in the shade of the mahogany trees on the edge of a small plain. Enjoy a refreshing drink on the raised deck and gaze out over the nearby waterhole where the resident wildlife come to drink. Your days will be spent discovering this, Zambia's most renowned game park, on day and night game drives and nature walks, hosted by the resident expert guide.

When you're not out exploring the plains, grab a chair and relax beside one of the three nearby waterholes where you're sure to see game up close. Head out on the Kapamba River in the late afternoon for a sundowner before sitting down to dinner and going on your evening game drive where you'll have the chance to see some of the nocturnal animals.

Days 4-5

Sleep in Chamilandu Tree Tops

Today your safari continues as you transfer to a luxury tree house suite in Chamilandu Bushcamp. Your private tree house is the perfect place to enjoy a bird's eye view of the Luangwa River and Chindeni Hills.

Your new environment, and home for the next two nights, boasts seven ox-bow lagoons in the vicinity. Explore this fascinating area on game drives to explore the diverse habitats and their abundant wildlife populations.

Days 6-8

Stay on the Kapamba River

Transfer to yet another exquisite camp today as you head for Kapamba Camp, boasting a prime location on the river. Here you can simply relax at the camp and the wildlife will come to you as the river serves as a local drinking spot for the animals. The bar is an ideal vantage point for game viewing, making a refreshing sundowner the perfect activity for viewing the resident animals.

If you do, however, feel like venturing out, you could go on a game drive with your ranger and learn more about your surroundings and the wildlife that inhabits it.

"Highly recommend that you try and do this safari in Green Season - not only is it unbelievable value, but its when nature is also reinventing itself, with births and nursery herds of young Zebra, Impala and Elephants."
