Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1

Visit Lake Mburo National Park

Set out this morning from Uganda's capital, Kampala, and drive westwards through rolling hills and traditional villages to the peaceful Lake Mburo National Park. As you drive through the park to the Mantana Tented Camp keep an eye out for wildlife.

Enjoy a delicious lunch before embarking on a game-viewing activity on a boat cruise of Lake Mburo to see hippo and varied birdlife, or alternatively, set out on a game drive searching for impala, zebra, and leopard.

Day 2

Explore the Bwindi National Park

Begin your day early, and set out on a guided walking safari of the Lake Mburo National Park. Return to camp for breakfast before making your way to the stunning Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. As you travel, you’ll pass through small villages and past beautiful scenery.

Stop en route at a scenic spot to enjoy a picnic lunch before continuing on through the park to the simple and comfortable Engagi Lodge. After checking in, enjoy a refreshing sundowner drink in the bar area as you take in the view from the wooden deck.

Day 3

Observe gorillas in the Bwindi forest

This morning you’ll set out on your memorable gorilla trek in Bwindi. Make your way through the mountain forest in search of gorillas, and experience the thrill of observing these primates as they eat, rest and play in their natural habitat. Return to Engagi Lodge where you’ll have time to freshen up before enjoying a hearty dinner.

Day 4

Return to Kampala

Enjoy an early breakfast before departing the Bwindi Forest for the journey through the beautiful landscape of Uganda back to Kampala. Stop en route to enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot and to take photos at the Equator crossing.
