Days 2-4

Marvel at the indigenous vegetation in the spectacular Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and take a scenic drive to the stunning Cape Point.

Take a boat trip to visit Robben Island and see Nelson Mandela's former prison cell before heading back to the V&A Waterfront for some cosmopolitan, upmarket shopping and dining. Taste a range of exquisite wines on nearby wine estates or enjoy a cultural tour of the city.

Spend your evenings dining at one of the Mother City's award-winning restaurants or kick back with a gourmet burger in vibrant Long Street.

Days 5-7

Go in search of Africa's Big 5

Head back to Cape Town International today where you'll catch your morning flight to Kruger Airport. On arrival you'll be met and transferred to Singita Ebony Lodge, located in the heart of the Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve which borders the unfenced Kruger National Park.

Wake up early for a steaming cup of coffee under jackalberry trees before setting out on early morning game drives to track the Big 5 and other classic animals. Return for a hearty breakfast on the deck enjoying the view of the Sand River.

Set out on a guided safari walk to get closer to this incredible ecosystem but you may want to spend the heat of the day relaxing around the swimming pool or enjoying a massage on your private deck.

Mid-afternoon high tea is served on the deck, after which you'll head off on your afternoon game drives. Enjoy sundowner drinks in the bush and listen to the soft hum of the crickets as the stars appear. Return to camp for a delicious outdoor dinner around the boma, listening to bush stories from the past and learning more about the local Shangaan culture.

Day 8

Travel to Johannesburg

Enjoy one last safari breakfast before transferring back to Kruger Airport for your flight to Johannesburg. Here you'll be met and transferred to the Fairlawns Boutique Hotel for the night. Spend your evening either relaxing in your suite or setting out to experience Joburg's impressive nightlife.

Days 9-10

Marvel at the Victoria Falls

In the morning you'll transfer back to OR Tambo International Airport where you'll catch your flight to Livingstone in Zambia. On arrival you'll be met and transferred to the Royal Livingstone for the next two nights.

A mere stone's throw from majestic Victoria Falls, The Royal Livingstone serves as the ideal base from which to see 'The Smoke that Thunders'.

Spend your time indulging in all that the area has to offer as you go white-water rafting down the mighty Zambezi river or enjoy an elephant-back safari in the beautiful Victoria Falls National Park. Hold your breath and bungee jump off the bridge or enjoy a thrilling micro-light or helicopter flip over the Falls.

Cool off and regain your breath at the hotel's Victorian-themed pool, wander through the landscaped gardens and simply enjoy the colonial elegance of The Royal Livingstone.

Today you will cross the Zambian border by road and boat transfer to enter Botswana. After clearing  Customs and Immigration, you'll board a speedboat to the Zambezi Queen House Boat, a luxurious floating hotel on Botswana's incredible Chobe River, close to where it enters the Zambezi.

Your mornings will begin early with a light breakfast and coffee before you set off on either a fishing trip, bird watching expedition or boat-based game viewing safari - a wonderful way to see the animals that come to the river to drink.

Return to the Zambezi Queen for a delicious lunch and a relaxing dip in the pool before heading for Botswana's riverbanks via tender boat for a 4x4 game drive in the incredible Chobe National Park. Spend the afternoon relaxing on the deck with a drink in hand, taking in the stunning surroundings.
