Remote Safari & Beach Respite

On arrival in Nairobi, you will be met and transferred to Wilson Airport for your flight to the Laikipia Plateau. Once here, you will transfer to Loisaba where you can kick back with a refreshing drink and take in the sweeping view from the viewing deck.

The next morning you will set off to explore this 120 000 acres of private game reserve on game drives and guided bush walks. Take a different approach to game viewing as you explore the surroundings on a camel, on horse-back, or on a mountain bike. A microlight flight will give you the chance to admire the plateau from above while a session of rock climbing will test your stamina.

After an exciting day of exploring, head back to the lodge where you can enjoy a range of relaxing spa treatments.

After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your flight to the world-renowned Masai Mara. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to Saruni Mara, where you can spend the afternoon relaxing on your private veranda overlooking the plains, or you can set off on your first game drive.

The next two days will be spent experiencing one of the finest wilderness reserves in Kenya on morning and afternoon game drives in an open safari vehicle, or setting out on foot for a totally different experience of this region. Learn more about local traditions and cultures by visiting a nearby Maasai village or return to the lodge for a massage or wellness treatment in the private and secluded treatment cottage.

Enjoy breakfast, and perhaps one last game drive, before transferring to the airstrip for your flight to the Kenyan coast, where you will spend your last four nights on Galu Beach. Unwind from your wilderness discovery on these endless stretches of uninhabited beach and swim in the warm Indian Ocean as you relax in this pristine location.

Go snorkelling, surfing, sailing and bird watching, or enjoy a romantic picnic on the beach. Sit down in the evenings for some of the best cuisine in East Africa and drink in this idyllic landscape before heading back to reality.

Spend one more perfect morning at Kiwayu before heading back to Wilson Airport where you’ll transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International for your flight home.
