Day to Day Itinerary

Days 1-2

Enjoy adventure at the Victoria Falls

Your luxury safari begins today as you touch down at the Victoria Falls Airport in Zimbabwe. From here you'll be transferred to Ilala Lodge, ideally located close to the Falls and the town centre. Ilala is a distinguished lodge offering affordable yet stylish accommodation and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. The property borders the Victoria Falls National Park and animals are often seen grazing on the lawns outside the lodge, bringing you that much closer to the wilderness.

Spend your time exploring this park, marvelling at the incredible Falls or getting your adrenalin pumping with the wide range of adventure activities on offer. Take a deep breath and bungee jump from the bridge or white water raft down the mighty Zambezi River. Take to the air with a helicopter or micro-light flip over the Falls - a truly memorable way of viewing this natural wonder.

Return to the lodge for a romantic evening under the African sky, and listen to the muted roar of the 'Smoke that Thunders' in the distance.

Days 3-4

Unwind in the Kasane Forest

Leave the mighty Victoria Falls behind today as you transfer by road and boat to Elephant Valley Lodge, a tented lodge situated in the Kasane Forest Reserve, bordering the Chobe National Park in Botswana. This stylish tented lodge lies along a frequently-used elephant trail where many of these regal animals may be seen as they travel to the nearby waterhole.

In the early morning you can enjoy a guided game drive through the Lesoma Valley region, where you'll definitely spot a few elephants. Later in the day, enjoy a cruise down the Chobe River, spotting some of the water birds and other wildlife on the river banks.

Return to the comfort of your safari tent, or spend some time relaxing beside the pool during the heat of the day. You can also take a walk down to the secluded hide for some excellent bird watching. The evenings are spent relaxing in this beautiful, tranquil setting.

Day 5

Travel into the Okavango Delta

Today you'll transfer back to Kasane Airport and board a flight to the Okavango Delta. You'll spend the next three nights in the heart of this watery wilderness at Pom Pom Camp.

Days 6-7

Discover the incredible Okavango Delta

The traditional safari-style Pom Pom Camp, with its thatch and canvas main lodge and meru-style tents, is superbly located to explore the intricate waterways of the Okavango Delta. Head out on a mokoro (traditional dug-out canoe), where you'll glide along the water through the winding channels. Sit back as your guide navigates the waterways, and take in the amazing scenery and sightings of the resident hippos and elephants.

Tracking game and prolific birdlife on foot is another highlight of visiting the Delta. Head out in the company of expert guides who inform you about this incredible ecosystem and how it all fits together. You may even get up close to a pride of lions or see a herd of Red Lechwe antelope springing through the shallow waters. Of course land-based game drives will also have you marvelling at the surroundings and searching for the Big 5.

Day 8

Fly out to Maun

Say a sad goodbye to the Okavango waterways as you board your charter flight to Maun. Once here, your luxury safari will come to an end.
