Nature-Filled Family Garden Route & Safari

Get an aerial view of the city from the top of Table Mountain, visit the superb Two Oceans Aquarium at the V&A Waterfront or take the ferry to historic Robben Island and follow it up with a delicious meal at a top-class restaurant.

Enjoy the easy of access to the area's superb beaches, hiking trails and golf courses that the lodge's location offers, and see if there's time to fit in a dolphin and whale-watching cruise on the Indian Ocean.

Continue along the Garden Route to St Francis Bay for two nights at The Sands @ St. Francis. This African-inspired beach house offers uninterrupted views of the Indian Ocean and boasts endless stretches of pristine coastline.

Venture down to the beach or play a round on the local golf course before heading out to do some whale-watching, assuming you're there during the July to November whale season. Alternatively, set out on a deep-sea fishing excursion followed by a delicious seafood dinner at a local Garden Route restaurant.

Enjoy breakfast and then self-drive your way to your final destination - the comfortable family-friendly Kariega Family Lodge in the Eastern Cape. The lodge is situated in the private Kariega Game Reserve where a wide variety of outdoor activities - ranging from hiking and mountain biking to game drives and guided bush walks - are available.
