Days 2-4

Explore South Africa's Mother City

Cape Town is an eclectic, cosmopolitan and fashionable city full of life and vibrance and it's yours to experience over the next three days. Head up to the top of Table Mountain via cable car for spectacular views or take a stroll along the Atlantic-facing Camps Bay promenade before making your way to one of the local bars for a sunset cocktail.

Enjoy day trips out to Cape Point, visit the penguins at Boulders Beach, and marvel at the flowers at the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Day 5

Head to the Timbavati Game Reserve

Transfer back to the airport after breakfast where you'll catch a flight to Hoedspruit Airport via Johannesburg. After arriving at Hoedspruit, you'll be driven to the legendary Timbavati Private Game Reserve and on to Simbavati River Lodge where you'll spend the next few days on an exciting South African Big 5 safari.

Days 6-7

Experience the thrill of a Safari

Adjoining the Kruger National Park, Timbavati is one of the best destinations in the country to see the Big 5. Go on morning, afternoon and early evening game drives with expert guides and trackers - there's plenty of classic African animals in the reserve too, and the bird watching is excellent.

Simbavati is a contemporary and stylish lodge with many viewpoints and raised decks from which to admire the Nhlaralumi River and the animals that frequent its banks. You'll enjoy great cuisine and attentive service, and you can relax in the plunge pool, enjoy a pampering massage treatment at the secluded bush spa, or head off with your guide on a bush walk to find out more about the ecology of the reserve.

Day 8

Stop over in Johannesburg

Transfer back to Hoedspruit Airport after breakfast and then fly back to Johannesburg where you'll be picked up and driven into town for a night at the City Lodge OR Tambo International Airport Hotel. Put your feet up for a relaxing evening in or head out into town for a taste of Johannesburg's nightlife.

Day 9

Fly to tropical Mauritius

This morning you'll catch a flight to the Indian Ocean island of Mauritius and transfer to Belle Mare Plage, a luxury resort situated on the east coast of the island. Settle in and take stock of your new, tropical surroundings as you plan the days ahead.

Days 10-13

Relax on white sandy beaches

Belle Mare Plage is a classic Mauritius resort offering a huge range of activities, watersports and golfing opportunities while also allowing hours of relaxation on the long sandy beach that fronts the resort. Unwind by one of the resort's four swimming pools, play a round of golf on the Legend or Links golf courses, or enjoy a relaxing spa treatment or massage. The more adventurous can explore the Indian Ocean on scuba diving and snorkelling excursions, or can cruise around on windsurfers.

In the evenings, enjoy delicious island fare while being entertained by local Mauritian dancers. If you've bought a young family with you then you can rest easy: children can join the Kakoo kids club and enjoy professionally run activities, leaving you free to relax or hit the golf course.

Day 14
