Enjoy this exciting 7-day cultural and game-viewing journey in the Kruger National Park, KwaZulu Natal and Swaziland.

Begin with a scenic drive through the Panorama Route and a big 5 safari in the Kruger National Park, before heading into the Kingdom of Swaziland for interesting cultural visits and excursions. Spend time with the local Zulu people in Zululand, go on a game drive in the Hluhluwe-Umfolozi and enjoy a scenic boat trip in the iSimangaliso Wetlands Park, before ending your trip in the sunny city of Durban.

Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1

Travel through the Panorama Route

Depart Johannesburg today and begin your epic South Africa and Swaziland adventure tour as you travel along the scenic Panorama Route into the Mpumalanga province. Stop along the way at some of the most spectacular view points in the country - Blyde River Canyon, the Bourke's Luck Potholes, the Three Rondavels and God's Window - all offering spectacular views.
Day 2

Enjoy a Kruger Safari

Wake early and depart on a half-day open-vehicle safari in the wilderness paradise of the Kruger National Park. Return to Perry's Bridge in the afternoon and spend the afternoon relaxing at the hotel or wandering through the unique shopping village, Perry's Bridge Trading Post. There is an optional evening safari, or you may choose to remain at the lodge and enjoy a drink on the terrace.

Day 3

Head into Swaziland

After a leisurely breakfast, travel to the Royal Kingdom of Swaziland and stop for a display of traditional Swazi culture before lunch at the Matsame Cultural Village. Continue on to the fascinating Ngwenya Glass Works factory to see master craftsmen at work creating beautiful artwork and sculptures from molten glass.

Enjoy some time to shop for a souvenir at the Mbabane craft markets before arriving at the luxurious resort hotel, the Royal Swazi Sun, in the late afternoon.

Day 4

Stop for sundowners in Zululand

This morning you’ll enjoy an interesting visit to the Swazi Candle Factory as you make your way via Big Bend back into South Africa and on into the spectacular coastal province of KwaZulu Natal. Arrive at your hotel, Ghost Mountain Inn, in the afternoon, with time for a scenic afternoon drive to Lake Jozini. Enjoy refreshing sundowners as the sun sets over the water - turning the sky and the reflection into a rainbow of colours.

Your drive continues with a visit to a local Zulu homestead where you'll get the opportunity to meet and interact with some of the local Zulu people. Return to Ghost Mountain in time for a delicious dinner.

Day 5

Safari in Hluhluwe-Umfolozi

Today you'll transfer to the Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Game Reserve and enjoy a full day’s game viewing in this scenic park. Be on the lookout for the Big 5, and in particular white rhino. Return to Ghost Mountain Inn in the evening and enjoy dinner.

Day 6

Journey along the Elephant Coast

Continue your journey along the beautiful stretch of coastline, known as the Elephant Coast, as you make your way to the iSimangaliso Wetland Park - a World Heritage Site. Embark on a fascinating estuarine boat trip of the St. Lucia Estuary with the chance of seeing hippo, crocodile and a host of bird species, including the African fish eagle.

After your boat trip, continue on to the vibrant city of Durban for an evening at the Protea Hotel Edward.

Day 7

Take a tour of Durban

This morning, head out on a short tour of the colourful and friendly coastal city known for its great Indian cuisine, cultural contrasts, and amazing beaches. Your tour comes to an end today as you are dropped off at either Durban International Airport or your hotel.
