Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive in Nairobi

Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport where you'll be met and transferred to the Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. Settle in and spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing at the hotel or going out to explore the vibrant shops, markets and restaurants that this city has to offer.

Days 2-3

Explore the Masai Mara

Your adventure kicks off today as you set out on your drive to one of Kenya's premier game-viewing destinations - the world-renowned Masai Mara National Reserve. You'll be staying at the Mara Simba Lodge for the next two nights, and after enjoying lunch you'll embark on your first exciting game drive.

The next day will see you going on morning and afternoon game drives to fully explore this vast landscape and its resident wildlife. The area is known primarily for the Great Migration - when thousands of zebra and wildebeest cross over the plains – but it also offers a wide variety of species and is great for year-round Big 5 safaris.

Day 4

See rhino at Lake Nakuru National Park

Enjoy one more breakfast at the lodge before heading off across the beautiful Kenyan landscape to Lake Nakuru National Park and your accommodation for the night - Lake Nakuru Lodge.

After lunch you will embark on a game drive to search for the large herds of giraffe and antelope that roam the park. Return to the lodge to sit back and gaze across this great lake as evening sets in.

Days 5-6

Marvel at Mount Kilimanjaro

Enjoy breakfast at the lodge before continuing on your adventure to Lake Naivasha for a boat cruise around this stunning lake. Afterwards travel to Amboseli National Park via Nairobi, stopping along the way for a delicious picnic lunch. Arrive in Amboseli, which boasts dense wildlife populations, and settle in at Ol Tukai Lodge - your home for the next two nights.

This afternoon you will head off on a game drive to get your fist taste of the park. The next day will also be dedicated to experiencing these new surroundings. Keep your eyes open for the giant herds of elephant as they go about their day against the backdrop of the incredible Mount Kilimanjaro.

Day 7

Cross the Tanzanian border

After your last breakfast in Kenya you will set out for the Namanga border post and cross over into Tanzania. Continue on toward the town of Arusha - the safari capital of the country - to enjoy a relaxed lunch. Cross the Masai Steppe after lunch before heading over the Great Rift Valley and arriving at the Lake Manyara National Park just in time for dinner. This evening you'll stay at the beautiful Lake Manyara Serena Lodge.

Days 8-9

Discover the Serengeti

Go on a game drive the next morning to explore this magnificent park and return for lunch and a dip in the infinity pool. In the afternoon you'll head off to the mighty Serengeti - Tanzania's prime wildlife destination. Enjoy your first game drive in the park as you make your way to Serengeti Serena Lodge.

The next day you will go on morning and afternoon game drives in the Serengeti National Park to search for the Big 5 and thousands of other plains game as they traverse across this incredible landscape. Take a break from the heat and excitement during the hottest part of the day by relaxing at the lodge and swimming in the pool.

Days 10-11

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater

Enjoy one last morning game drive in the Serengeti before continuing your journey on to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy a visit to a local Maasai village before stopping for a delicious picnic lunch. Arrive at the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge and spend the rest of the day relaxing.

The next morning you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater and search for game on the floor of this, the largest intact volcanic crater in the world. Due to its incredibly diverse landscapes, you will visit contrasting habitats, promising a truly excellent and varied game-viewing experience.

Day 12

Discover the Tarangire National Park

After breakfast you'll depart for the Tarangire National Park, arriving at the Sopa Lodge in time for lunch and a siesta. The afternoon is spent on your last game drive. Watch how elephants and other animals scratch in the dry riverbeds for water. Even though the area may seem too arid to sustain the wildlife, the animals know that if they scratch in the seemingly dry riverbeds, they will find water just below the surface.
