Ideal as an add-on tour to a larger holiday itinerary, this five-day safari focusses on the natural beauty and wildlife of the Zambezi River. The majestic natural wonder of Victoria Falls takes centre stage but there are many activities on offer both on and around this iconic river.

Start off with two days at Tongabezi Lodge on the banks of the Zambezi followed by two days at Sindabezi Island Lodge, located on its own river island. Both lodges are famous for their secluded and luxurious nature, making this a great tour for honeymooners and romantics.

Activities you may choose to experience at Victoria Falls include adventures like white-water rafting, bungee jumping and elephant-back safaris in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park as well as game drives, canoe safaris and cultural village visits.

At Sindabezi Island Camp, you have the option of sunrise and sunset boat trips, canoeing, fishing and bird watching - there really is something for everyone.

Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive in Livingstone

Arrive at Livingstone Airport in Zambia where you will be met and transferred to Tongabezi, an intimate, secluded luxury lodge set on the forested banks of the Zambezi River. Settle into your room and enjoy the views of the silent, swirling Zambezi River.
Day 2

Discover beautiful Victoria Falls

Tongabezi is upstream from Victoria Falls - far enough away to avoid the crowds but close enough to make a visit quick and easy. After viewing the thundering mass of water, you could choose to go on a visit to Livingstone to explore its museums or head off to Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park for a guided game drive.

There are many adrenalin-activities to select from such as white-water rafting, bungee jumping, canoeing and elephant-back safaris but happily there are also many more sedate experiences such as sunset river cruises, fishing trips and bird watching.

Day 3

Travel to Sindabezi Island

This morning you will be transferred by boat to Sindabezi Island Camp, set on a tranquil island in the Upper Zambezi. Enjoy the genuine serenity of this exclusive island and its secluded but luxurious bush camp - activities on offer include canoeing, fishing and bird watching.

Day 4

Relax on the Zambezi River

Today is a full day at your leisure and, if you wish, you could return to Victoria Falls for more activities: take a microlight flip or a scenic helicopter flight over the falls, enjoy a canoe trip down the Zambezi River or take a sunset boat cruise.

Day 5

Return to Livingstone

After a final breakfast you'll transfer back to Livingstone Airport for your outbound flight.
