Leaving Mombasa, head to Kenya's largest park, Tsavo National Park, before exploring the Amboseli National Park under the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Afterwards, reverse your direction and return to Mombasa, but not before another night in the Tsavo National Park, and the Taito Hills Wildlife Sanctuary.

Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1

Heading to Tsavo East

Depart early from Mombasa and head north-west out of the city towards Kenya's largest national park - Tsavo National Park. Today you'll enter the eastern side - Tsavo East - and stop at the Voi Safari Lodge, arriving in time for lunch. Sit back after lunch and relax before journeying out on an afternoon game drive. With a vast number of elephant and buffalo in the park, you're bound to get some great photographs.

Day 2

Game driving in Amboseli National Park

Following an early breakfast, depart Tsavo East and make your way to Amboseli National Park, stopping for a picnic lunch. Amboseli is best known for its large numbers of elephants, but the park also has a great amount of other wildlife, such as cheetah and buffalo, as well as the critically endangered black rhino. Go on a game drive in search of these majestic creatures.

On a clear day, the famous Mount Kilimanjaro makes quite the backdrop when driving through the park. Arrive at the Sentrim Amboseli Camp in the late afternoon as the sun is setting.

Day 3

Exploring Tsavo West

Wake up early and make your way to the stunning Tsavo West to experience a bit of this magnificent park as you go on a small game drive before stopping for lunch at the Kilaguni Lodge. After lunch and some time to relax, continue your game drive in search of the Big 5. Arrive at Sarova Taita Hills Lodge at sunset and relax after your exciting day.

Day 4

Returning to Mombasa

Enjoy a morning game drive in the privately owned, conservation-focussed Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary before returning to the lodge for lunch. Afterwards you'll start your return to Mombasa for your onward travel arrangements. This tour makes a great combination with a beach holiday on Kenya’s coast.
