Exciting Vic Falls Kenya Adventure

Today you will depart from OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg and fly to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe where you will be transferred to Ilala Lodge, set right in the centre of town and your home for the first three nights. Ilala Lodge is situated within walking distance of Victoria Falls and since the hotel's grounds border the Victoria Falls National Park, its lawns are often grazed by warthog and impala.

You have the rest of today and two full following days to enjoy all that Victoria Falls has to offer. Not for nothing is this place called Africa's Adventure Capital: you can go whitewater rafting down the Zambezi River, bungee jump from Victoria Falls bridge or enjoy a scenic micro-light or helicopter flight.

Other activities include Zambezi canoe trips, elephant-back safaris, game drives and market shopping. Be sure to take a walk to Victoria Falls to marvel at this incredible sight (peak flow is from March to May), and we'd also recommend ending one of your days here with a sunset Zambezi River cruise.

Leave thundering Victoria Falls behind today as you fly back to Johannesburg. Here you will spend a night at the Peech Hotel before embarking on your Kenyan safari adventure the next day.

The 'City of Gold' is a dynamic, mutli-faced city and you may want to have a taste of its buzzing nightlife and try a bar or two; on the other hand, you could simply choose to stay in and relax at your hotel, preparing for the next leg of your trip.

Today you will travel to Nairobi - Kenya's capital city - and transfer to The Safari Park Hotel. The hotel, with its beautiful gardens and elegant, colonial-style décor, will offer you a warm welcome to Kenya and the start of your safari.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before departing for the world-renowned Masai Mara National Reserve where you will spend the following two nights at Masai Mara Sopa Lodge. The Masai Mara is one of Africa's most spectacular game reserves: its rolling grassy savannahs and open woodlands are home to a dense concentration of wildlife and the photo opportunities are many.

Set out each morning and afternoon on guided game drives, keeping a lookout not only for members of Africa's legendary Big 5 but, if you happen to visit between July and November, the incredible annual wildebeest migration. Don't despair if you can't make it at this time: the Masai Mara offers excellent game viewing throughout the year and is particularly good for big cats.

Enjoy one more breakfast in the Masai Mara before driving to Lake Nakuru National Park where you will stop and enjoy lunch before embarking on an afternoon game drive in the park.

At the right time of the year, Lake Nakuru is home to millions of dazzling flamingos that turn the lake's shores pink - a truly spectacular sight.

The area is also home to a nice range of animals that includes buffalo, the rare Rothschild's giraffe, eland, the occasional leopard and both black and white rhino. You will overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge, set in the park itself.

Depart Lake Nakuru in the morning and transfer to Amboseli National Park, enjoying picnic lunch and a spot of game viewing en route to your accommodation. You'll spend the last two days of your safari at Amboseli Sopa Lodge, where you'll once again have the chance to go on morning and afternoon game drives.

The park is one of the smaller game parks in Kenya but it offers you the best opportunity of seeing the critically endangered black rhino along with a spectacular range of classic African wildlife. Marvel at the breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro, its snowy white peaks contrasting beautifully with the tawny grass of Amboseli's savannah environment.
