Day to Day Itinerary

Days 1-3

Start your adventure in the Masai Mara

Arrive at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport where you will be met and transferred to nearby Wilson Airport for your flight into the Masai Mara.

On arrival you will travel to Bateleur Camp, situated in the Masai Mara National Reserve. If time permits, head out on your first game drive in the afternoon to get acquainted with your spectacular surroundings before returning to the camp for dinner.

The following two days will be dedicated to exploring this world-famous game park, scanning its rolling savannah for the Big 5 as you enjoy early morning and afternoon game drives.

Return to the camp between game drives to enjoy delicious meals, relax in the pool or take an afternoon nap - either in your comfortable tent or on the beautiful manicured lawns. If your timing is right and you visit the Masai Mara between June and November, you could catch the great herds of the Great Migration. The crocodile-infested Mara River is the scene of dramatic river crossings and the wildebeest migration generally ensures plenty of high-octane predator action.

Day 4

Overnight in Johannesburg

Depart Kenya today as you board a scheduled flight to Johannesburg in South Africa. On arrival, you are transferred to Athol Place, a gracious boutique hotel in Sandton, where you spend the night. Feel free to head out into this lively upscale neighbourhood to get a taste of its shopping and nightlife or just stay in and rest for your exciting next stop: Victoria Falls.

Days 5-6

Get your heart pumping at Victoria Falls

Return to OR Tambo International Airport this morning to catch your flight to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. Here you are met and driven to The Victoria Falls Hotel, your home for the following two nights. Settle in and relax before planning which exciting activities you will enjoy the following day.

Start your day of adventure early and head out to enjoy all that Vic Falls has to offer. You can bungee jump from the Victoria Falls bridge, white-water raft down the Zambezi River or board a microlight to view this magnificent sheet of falling water from the air.

Other activities include canoeing, elephant-back safaris, walking with lions and game drives. Experience 'The Smoke that Thunders' on a guided tour booked through your hotel or simply take a stroll through Victoria Falls National Park, enjoying the waterfall's surrounding rainforest and stopping at the view points for wonderful photo opportunities.

Day 7

Return to South Africa

Bid farewell to Victoria Falls as you return to the airport and fly back to Johannesburg. Once here, you head back to Athol Place for the night, where you can soak blissfully in your private Jacuzzi tub.

Days 8-10

On safari in Sabi Sands

Board a scheduled charter flight to the Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve, adjacent to the world-renowned Kruger National Park. A representative from the Londolozi Varty Camp will meet you and take you to the lodge where you stay for the next three nights.

The Varty Camp boasts a holistic approach to rest and relaxation, so take your time settling into your room and getting ready for three nights of tranquility - and adventure.

Spend the following two days marvelling at the spectacular environment around you as you head out on thrilling morning, afternoon and evening game drives in search of the Big 5 and other classic African animals.

Return to the lodge during the hottest part of the day when the animals are at their least active, and enjoy a massage or spa treatment at the Londolozi Life Wellness Centre. You could also attend a yoga class or escape the heat with a dip in your room's private plunge pool. In the evenings, after a delicious meal, wander over to the lounge and its wooden deck and enjoy views of the Sand River as you reminisce about your day's activities.

Days 11-13

Discover the Mother City

Enjoy one final morning game drive before transferring back to the Londolozi airstrip for your flight to Johannesburg. From here you board a scheduled flight for Cape Town International Airport.

Once in Cape Town, you are met and transferred to The Belmond Mount Nelson, one of the most famous hotels in Africa, situated in the fashionable and convenient neighbourhood of Gardens and within walking distance of the city centre. The rest of the day is yours to either relax and unwind, by enjoying the hotel's famous high tea or kicking off your exploration of this amazing, multi-faceted city.

The following two days are yours to explore and enjoy all that this vibrant and diverse city has to offer. Hike or take the cable car up Table Mountain, enjoy a boat ride to historic Robben Island or travel down the peninsula and visit the endangered African penguins at Boulders Beach on your way to Cape Point.

Head over to the city enclaves of Camps Bay and Clifton to relax on their beautiful beaches or stroll down the Camps Bay strip and take your pick of the area's many upmarket restaurants, cafés and bars.

A short walk from The Belond Mount Nelson will bring you to buzzing Long Street as well as the city's markets, museums and art gallery while a visit to the ever-popular V&A Waterfront will have you shopping your day away or enjoying a sunset boat cruise in Table Bay.
