Start your family holiday with a flight from Johannesburg to Hoedspruit Airport, gateway to the famous Kruger National Park. Transfer on arrival to the family-friendly Serondella Lodge in the Thornybush Game Reserve, a private conservation area adjoining the Kruger.

You'll have time to settle in and head out on a late afternoon game drive before returning to camp for supper. Finish off the day around the campfire and plan the next few days.

Spend the next three days exploring the ever-rewarding Thornybush Game Reserve on early morning, late afternoon and early evening game drives. There's a fantastic variety of animals and birds in the reserve and Big 5 sightings are commomplace.

You could take off after breakfast on an exciting bush walk with a ranger and tracker. These walks offer a different perspective of the Kruger's environment and you will learn a great deal about topics like tracking and traditional uses of plants, and the bird watching is excellent.

Return to the lodge after your evening game drive for a delicious 3-course dinner. Later in the evening, sit in the lounge and watch nocturnal animals at the lodge's two waterholes.

Serondella is a perfect place for families - each child receives a fun activity pack on arrival and babysitting services are also available.
