Exciting Mauritius & Kruger Experience

With over half a kilometre of white sandy beach to lounge on and a warm turquoise ocean to swim in, guests at Sugar Beach have plenty of opportunities to relax but there's much to do as well: exciting activities include glass-bottom boat excursions, kayaking, wind surfing and sailing while there's also snorkelling and scuba diving as well.

Sugar Beach Resort has a spa and beauty centre as well as a gym, and there's access to sun-drenched golf courses and big game fishing trips too. An in-house kids club means that parents can relax while their children are being safely entertained by professional staff.

Take a day or two to explore the island and its top attractions. Head out to Port Louis, the capital, and wander its waterfront and bustling market. Another attraction to the area is the Coloured Earth of Chamarel - a strange natural phenomenon where the earth separates into seven different colours.

Enjoy a final swim in the Indian Ocean before heading back to the airport for your scheduled flight to Johannesburg. Once in Johannesburg you'll transfer to The Peermont Metcourt for a night before your safari begins.

After an early breakfast, you'll transfer to OR Tambo for a flight to Hoedspruit where you'll be met and driven to Lion Sands River Lodge in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve, a private conservation area on the border of the Kruger National Park. Settle in and, if time permits, begin your safari adventure right away with an afternoon game drive.

Spend the next two full days on early morning and afternoon game drives in search of the Big 5 and other animals. And since Lion Sands is located in a private reserve, you'll enjoy exciting night drives too and the chance to spot some of Africa's rarely seen nocturnal creatures.

This is big game country and an area that boasts some of the best game viewing in the region - and along with the drives, the lodge offers guests the opportunity to see wildlife on foot. Bush walks are a great way to view the smaller details, and bird watchers will delight in the area's long list of bird species. Guests can also take an excursion to the Sabie River to observe hippos in their natural habitat.

One evening you'll have the opportunity to have dinner out in the bush. Seated around a campfire, you'll dine on a delicious meal under the starry African sky - the ideal way to finish a day in safari style.

Following a final morning game drive, you'll say goodbye to Lion Sands as you transfer back to Hoedspruit and return to Johannesburg. Your tour ends upon arrival at OR Tambo International Airport.
