Start at Simbambili Game Lodge in the Sabi Sands for three days of game viewing as you search this classic Big 5 region on morning, afternoon and early evening game drives. Then continue your adventure on the tropical island of Mahe in the Seychelles as you relax and soak up the sun on the white sandy beaches and sparkling swimming pools of the dazzling Ephelia Resort.

Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1

Fly to Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve

Begin your safari with a flight from Johannesburg to Hoedspruit Airport where you'll be met by a representative of Simbambili and transferred to the lodge. Settle in and head out on a late afternoon/early evening game drive in search of the Big 5 and the area's seldom seen nocturnal animals before returning for dinner.
Days 2-3

Explore the Sabi Sand

Spend the next two days exploring the always-rewarding Sabi Sands for the Big 5 - elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo and rhino - on morning, afternoon and early evening game drives.

The Sabi Sands, adjoining the mighty Kruger National Park, is one of the best destinations in Africa to see the elusive leopard. You can also go on a nature walk with one of the rangers in the late morning after breakfast. This is a great way for you to get a better understanding of the Kruger ecosystem and the best way to study the smaller creatures of the bush.

Between game drives, enjoy delicious meals at the lodge or in the boma area - or indeed away from the lodge at a secluded spot. Finish off beside the campfire for a nightcap and to swop game viewing stories with your fellow guests.

Day 4

Fly to the Seychelles

Today transfer back to Hoedspruit Airport for your scheduled flight to Johannesburg. Transfer to an overnight Air Seychelles flight to the stunning island archipelago.

Day 5

Welcome to the Seychelles

Once you arrive on the island of Mahe, transfer to the luxurious Ephelia Resort. The rest of the day will be yours to explore this amazing destination.

Days 6-9

Soak up the sun

Enjoy four days at this beautiful, idyllic resort - the list of things to do is almost endless. Relax at the resort's Spa Village, explore the crystal-clear waters of the Indian ocean by sea kayak or head underwater on diving or snorkelling excursions. Alternatively, soak up some sun as you relax next to one of the resort's five swimming pools, head for the gym or play a game of tennis.

Families with children will be pleased to hear that the resort features a kids club for 4-12 year olds which includes a games room, dining area and many monitored activities.

You can also enjoy a different dining experience each night: Ephelia has no fewer than five uniquely designed and decorated restaurants. Each restaurant has a unique bar option for you to select from if you wish to have an after-dinner drink.

Day 10

Tour ends in the Seychelles

This morning transfer back to Mahe Airport for your outgoing flight. Your tour ends upon your arrival at the airport.
