Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive in the Okavango Delta

Your journey begins in Johannesburg where you'll board a flight to Maun in Botswana. Once here, you'll be met and transferred to your first accommodation, Footsteps Across the Delta, located in the beautiful Okavango Delta.

Days 2-3

Discover the Okavango Delta

As you stay in this lovely tented accommodation you'll spend two full days exploring the rich Okavango Delta wilderness. The camp emphasises guided walks where the whole family can learn about tracking wildlife and experience animal interactions. Enjoy thrilling game drives to search for the members of the Big 5, go rhino tracking, and pay a cultural visit to a nearby village to learn more about local customs and traditions.

Days 4-5

See a different side of the Delta

Today you will transfer to your next Delta accommodation, Shinde Camp, where you'll spend the last two nights in a raised luxury tree house. This unique accommodation offers beautiful views over a different part of this vast wilderness.

Spend your time here exploring the Delta's many meandering channels on tranquil mokoro (dug-out canoe) rides. The camp also offers exciting guided walks and fly fishing excursions, giving you the chance to experience the Delta in a completely different way.

Day 6

Return to Johannesburg

Catch an air transfer back to Maun today for your return flight to Johannesburg. From here you can continue with your onward travel arrangements.
