Day to Day Itinerary

Days 1

Explore the Okavango Delta

From Johannesburg's OR Tambo International Airport you'll catch your flight to Maun in Botswana. On arrival you'll transfer via a scenic flight into the Okavango Delta and to your accommodation for the next three days: Footsteps across the Delta.

Settle in and take stock of your new surroundings. Depending on the time, there may be an opportunity to start exploring right away.

Days 2-3

Visit a local bushman village

Set in the Shinde private concession of the Okavango Delta, Footsteps Across the Delta is a high-quality tented camp hosting a maximum of six guests at a time.

It is a seasonal camp, open from 1st March to 30th November, and the emphasis is on guided walks where you have the time to learn about tracking wildlife and understanding animal interaction. Other activities to choose from include game drives, fishing, rhino tracking, bird watching and even cultural visits to a local Bushmen village.

Days 4-5

Head to Victoria Falls

After breakfast you will board your air transfer to Kasane Airport on the Chobe River, followed by a cross-border transfer into Zimbabwe and your new accommodation - Elephant Camp.

This camp is positioned in a wildlife concession close to Victoria Falls and is famous for its regular elephant visitors. In peak flood season you'll even get views of the waterfall's rising spray.

There are many places to relax at camp - the viewing deck, the pool and the bar - but for something more energetic you could choose to go whitewater rafting on the Zambezi River, bungee jump off Victoria Falls Bridge or brave a spectacularly scenic flight over the Falls.

Other activities in the area include game drives, elephant-back safaris, canoe excursions and cultural visits. The bird watching is phenomenal in the Victoria Falls region, and no visit to this world wonder would be complete without a Zambezi River sunset cruise.

Day 6

Fly back to Johannesburg

Enjoy a last breakfast at the lodge before heading to Victoria Falls airport for your return flight to Johannesburg. From here you will continue with your own onward arrangements.
