Day to Day Itinerary

Days 1-2

Experience the Victoria Falls

Today you will arrive at Johannesburg's OR Tambo International Airport where you will catch a scheduled flight to Victoria Falls Airport in Zimbabwe. A road transfer will take you to Victoria Falls Hotel where you will spend the next two nights.

The hotel is situated close enough to the falls to simply walk there, whereupon you'll discover why it was named a Natural World Wonder. But besides the Smoke that Thunders, there are many exciting activities in the area to choose from: you could take a microlight flight over the falls, bungee jump from the Victoria Falls bridge or go white-water rafting on the Zambezi River. Other favourites include canoe safaris, elephant-back excursions, and game drives and guided walks in nearby national parks.

Finish the day with a tranquil boat cruise down the hippo-filled Zambezi River - the perfect opportunity to toast the African sunset with a cool drink in hand.

Day 3

Head back to Johannesburg

Transfer back to Victoria Falls Airport today for your return flight to Johannesburg. After landing, make use of Johannesburg's newest and most efficient means of transport - the Gautrain - to get to your accommodation in Melrose.

You will be staying at the luxurious Peech Hotel for the night. This lovely boutique hotel offers excellent bistro-inspired cuisine, access to the nearby gym, a swimming pool and a library.

Days 4-6

Excellent game-viewing in Sabi Sands

Head back to OR Tambo International Airport today for your air transfer to the Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve.

Your last three nights will be spent at Lion Sands River Lodge, a lavish safari camp set on the banks of Sabie River in prime game viewing territory.

This Big 5 reserve is exclusive to guests of Lion Sands so you won't be stuck with crowds of other vehicles. Lion, elephant, rhino, leopard, buffalo and wild dog are all frequently seen on the expertly-led game drives, and your guide will even take the open-sided vehicle off road for close-up views and great photographic opportunities. The general game viewing is great and the bird watching is excellent.

In between game drives, enjoy indulgent treatments at the spa or delicious cocktails at the bar overlooking the river.

Day 7

Say farewell to Sabi Sands

Catch your air transfer back to OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg today and continue with your onward travel arrangements.
