Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive at Luangwa

Arrive today in Mfuwe Airport, where you will be met and transferred to Luangwa River Lodge. This private lodge is built on raised wooden decks and offers breathtaking views over the Luangwa River. Check in at your lovely bush suite and settle in.

Day 2

Explore the Luangwa Valley

Select from a range of fantastic activities from safari game drives, boat trips or walking safaris with experience guides. Expect to see amazing wildlife such as big cats and beautiful bird varieties. Unwind beside the infinity swimming pool or in the open-plan lounge, or enjoy a holistic massage treatment.

Dine on French-inspired fusions created by expert chefs, and for something truly special, opt for a candlelit bush picnic beside the beautiful lake.

Days 3-5

Walking safari at Nsefu

Today you will transfer by 2-hour boat trip to Nsefu Camp on a bend of the Luangwa River. Keep a lookout for spectacular birdlife and elephant or lion on the river bank. Settle in before enjoying a delicious lunch.

Spend the next few flexible days exploring the area on morning walks or game drives. For something more adventurous, spend a night fly-camping in the wilderness. Spot leopard, giraffe, and elephant that cross the river, admire interesting African plants, and see some of the 400 resident bird species.

Enjoy lunch beneath a tree and unwind in Nsefu's bar area which overlooks a waterhole thus creating the ultimate location for game viewing.

Days 6-7

Fantastic game-viewing

Set off on another boat trip to Nkwali Camp, situated on a bend of the Luangwa River, overlooking the South Luangwa National Park. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a lovely lunch or afternoon tea, followed by an exciting night game drive.

Enjoy a delicious breakfast around the campfire before spending your time at Nkwali leisurely exploring the area in search of wildlife; ranging from lion and hippo, to buffalo.

Return to the camp and cool off in the refreshing swimming pool or relax in your lovely room with splendid river views.

Day 8

Say farewell to Zambia

After your final breakfast around the campfire, transfer to Mfuwe Airport for your flight to Lusaka and your own onward arrangements.
