Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive to the Mother City

After arriving at Cape Town International Airport, you'll pick up your rental car and drive to Pod, a boutique hotel situated in upmarket Camps Bay on Cape Town's fashionable Atlantic Seaboard.

Spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing on the hotel's terrace or catching the last rays of sun on Camps Bay's stunning main beach. Wander over to one of the many beachfront bars and restaurants for a cocktail as you watch the sunset and plan the next few days ahead.

Days 2-4

Experience the attractions of Cape Town

The following three days are yours to explore the amazing city of Cape Town and all her many attractions. Hike or take the cable car up iconic Table Mountain, shop and socialise at the ever-popular V&A Waterfront or take a step back in time as you visit the museums of Robben Island and District Six.

Leave aside a day to drive around the Cape Peninsula and pay a visit to the penguins colony at Boulders Beach on your way to Cape Point; later, take a boat ride to Seal Island off Hout Bay and marvel at the stunning views from Chapman's Peak Drive, one of the world's most scenic roads.

Your accommodation's central location means that you are well-placed to enjoy a range of restaurants in the evening - sit down to fine food paired with local wines.

Days 5-6

Unwind in the Winelands

Bid a fond farewell to the city this morning as you drive to the Drakenstein Valley and onto the Babylonstoren Country House, set deep in the Cape Winelands and close to Stellenbosch.

Experience two days of absolute tranquility as you relax surrounded by the beautiful gardens of this former Cape Dutch farm estate. Facilities include a spa, a sauna and a steam bath and an indoor plunge pool. The cuisine at this charming and elegant estate is wonderful, and many of the ingredients come straight from the farm's gardens.

If you feel like being active, you could visit the gym, cycle through the vineyards and orchards or walk up the farm's namesake hill for views of the valley. Further afield lie opportunities for whale watching (in season) or shark-cage diving, and several excellent golf courses are in the immediate area.

Day 7

Wind your way along Route 62

Today you set off on a drive along the world's longest wine route - Route 62 - and head to the picturesque town of Robertson, tucked away in farming country. Check in at the Robertson Small Hotel, your accommodation for the night.

Relax in the afternoon as you take a lazy boat cruise down the Breede River, swim in one of the hotel's two pools or visit the Wellness Room for an optional spa treatment.

Days 8-9

Explore the beautiful Knysna

Continue your scenic drive along Route 62 today as you make your way to Knysna, the busy little coastal town at the centre of the famous Garden Route. Once at Knysna, you'll drive to The Turbine Boutique Hotel which is situated on a small island in Knysna Lagoon.

Knysna has long been a favourite holiday destination and has many activities on offer. Walk around the streets visiting the quaint stores and art galleries, hike the famous Knysna Heads overlooking the lagoon or head out onto the lagoon itself on the hotel's private pontoon boat. Relax on the beautiful local beaches and visit the popular waterfront for a late afternoon ice cream or dinner.

Day 10

Ending your tour in Knysna

After breakfast, your luxury journey will end at Knysna Airport as you return your hired car and board a flight home.
