Classic Kruger & Phinda Safari

Arrive in Johannesburg OR Tambo International Airport and transfer to Benoni Airport for your air charter to Kirkman's Kamp, a private conservation area located in the legendary Sabi Sands Game Reserve on the border of the Kruger National Park.

You'll be staying at luxurious Kirkman's Kamp, set in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve, and boasting a colonial-style feel combined with spectacular views of the Sabi Sands wilderness. Check in and have a wander around to soak up the atmosphere - if there's time, you could head out on an afternoon game drive.

Spend a full day exploring the reserve in search of the area's abundant wildlife. Sabi Sands is well known as an exceptional Big 5 game viewing region and you don't even have to leave the lodge: many animals can also be seen from the comfort of the camp's viewing deck.

Set out on a morning game drive, return to the lodge for lunch and a refreshing dip in the pool before relaxing, hitting the gym or catching up on some sleep. After tea, you'll head out on an afternoon drive that will return to camp via a spotlit game drive to catch the area's nocturnal creatures on the move. In the evening you can relax on the viewing deck, watch the sunset and order your favourite sundowner drink to toast a perfect day.

After a final morning game drive in the Sabi Sands Reserve you will transfer by air and then road to Phinda Private Game Reserve, located in northern KwaZulu Natal. Enjoy three days at the intimate and stylishly decorated Phinda Mountain Lodge, situated at the foot of the Lebombo Mountains. At Phinda you'll go on a variety of game viewing activities such as game drives or guided nature walks.

The reserve is an exceptionally diverse one - even by South African standards - and has an abundance of wildlife that includes the Big 5 as well as cheetah, black rhino and many species of antelope. Birdwatchers will not be disappointed as Phinda ranks as one of the best birding destinations in Southern Africa - over 360 species have been recorded in the reserve.
