Experience 10 fantastic days as you explore the Pearl of Africa on a once-in-a-liftime adventure with the opportunity to track the mountain gorillas of Bwindi, view the Murchison Falls, and explore the Kibale Forest and Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Begin your adventure with a flight to Murchison Falls National Park for two days after arriving in Entebbe. Here you'll have the chance to spot wildlife in the park and on the famous river Nile.

Then fly to Kibale Forest National Park and explore its trees search for your first sight of primates. Kibale has some of the highest concentration of primates in East Africa.

Continue your journey south to the stunning Queen Elizabeth National Park where you'll get to spot buffalos and lions as well as hippos and elephants as you cruise along the Kazinga Channel.

Finally, fly to Bwindi Forest National Park to see the highlight of your tour, the mountain gorillas of Uganda. End off your adventure with a flight back to Entebbe.

Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive in Entebbe

Arrive in Entebbe and be transferred to The Boma guesthouse for the evening. The Boma is a colonial homestead just outside of town and offers views of the lake. Enjoy the rest of your day relaxing in the garden or exploring the city of Entebbe.

Days 2-3

Exploring the Murchison Falls

Early this morning you'll be flown from Entebbe to the Pakuba Airstrip near the stunning Murchison Falls National Park. Transfer from the airstrip to the Paraa Safari Lodge, a small beautiful lodge on the banks of the Nile River in the park. Enjoy lunch overlooking the river, before embarking on a game drive to explore the national park.

Start the next day with an early breakfast and then a morning game drive in the northern part of the park to search for more wildlife. The area around the lodge is known to have giraffe, elephants, lions and several types of birds. Return to the lodge for lunch, before continuing your game viewing with cruise on the river Nile in the afternoon.

Days 4-5

Tracking primates in Kibale Forest

Today has a later start as you fly to the Kasese Airstrip near the Kibale Forest National Park via Entebbe in the late morning. After meeting your safari representative, you'll begin the drive to the Primate Lodge Kibale which is in the heart of the national park. Sit back and relax after your travel day as you wait for dinner at the lodge.

This morning enjoy a chance to track wild chimpanzees and other primates on a guided nature walk through the forest. The Kibale Forest has some of the largest concentration of primates in East Africa. Transfer following lunch to the Bigodi Swamp to track more primates and to spot the many species of birds in the region.

Days 6-7

Cruising the Kazinga Channel

After breakfast, you'll make your way from the Kibale Forest through the crater lakes area to the Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive is a stunning one as you pass by small lakes and rolling hills. Embark on a short game drive once inside the park as you continue to the Mweya Safari Lodge for two nights.

The next day begins early with a game drive through the Uganda Kobs as you search for lions, elephants and buffalo. In the afternoon, after lunch at the lodge, you'll head out on a boat cruise of the Kazinga Channel to search for more wildlife including hippo and elephants who cool off along the shore.

Days 8-9

Tracking the gorillas of Bwindi

Today is another slow start as you fly from the Kasese Airstrip to the Kihihi Airstrip near the Bwindi Forest National Park. From the airstrip, you'll transfer to the Mahogany Springs, a new lodge in the Bwindi National Park. The afternoon will be yours to enjoy and you can either relax and prepare your gorilla tracking or head out on a guided forest walk.

The next day is the highlight of your 10-day tour of Uganda as today you get to track the gentle mountain gorillas of Uganda. The day is long and tiring but once you get to observe this stunning creatures in their natural habitat you'll realise it was all worth it. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and stories around the table.

Day 10

Ending in Entebbe

Say goodbye today to Uganda as you fly from the Kihihi Airstrip to the Entebbe International Airport in time for your afternoon or evening flight to another adventure or home.
