Table Mountain is much more than just a 1 086m-high, flat-topped sandstone outcrop that overlooks Cape Town. As the one of the seven New Wonders of the World, it is also the playground of thousands of hikers, bikers and paragliders who make the most of its varied terrain, incredible natural beauty and the face that it lies within an easy 10-minute drive of the city centre.
For four action-packed days, you will experience all sides of this dramatic and beloved mountain while receiving expert guidance and advice, as well as using top-of-the-range equipment. Push yourself to mountain-bike along well-maintained jeep tracks to the historic Block House and steep route to Plum Pudding, and plot a specialist hike that can start in world-famous Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and end at the welcome sight of the cable station, or tackle the Kasteelspoort route, which has stratospheric views over beautiful Camps Bay and the Twelve Apostles.
Then reward yourself with an activity that takes virtually no effort but promises maximum reward: a tandem paragliding leap off the slopes of Lion’s Head. Soaring above the Atlantic Seaboard, you will have bird’s eye views of Robben Island, the golden beaches of Clifton and the never-ending horizon of the sparkling Atlantic.
