Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1-2

From Namibia to Botswana

Meet your guides in Namibia's capital of Windhoek before beginning your journey with a scenic drive to the Buitepos border, where you cross into Botswana. Once at your destination, Ghanzi Trail Blazers, you can meet with the local San community, join in on traditional dancing, go on a guided tour to learn the local way of life, or take a dip in the old quarry.

Day 2-3

Discover Okavango Delta

Start your day early as you head to Maun - the gateway to the magnificent Okavango Delta - where you will spend the night at Situtanga Camp. Kick back after a day on the road with a refreshing drink at the campfire and a wholesome meal.

Day 3-5

Camp under a canopy of stars

Travel into the heart of the Okavango Delta, the largest freshwater wetland in Africa and a remarkable oasis set amidst Botswana's semi-desert wilderness. You will spend two nights camping, and if the water levels allow, you can look forward to exploring the Delta by mokoro canoe. Guided nature walks take you on wildlife tracking adventures and to meet local people at nearby villages. In the Delta you will find one of the greatest concentrations of wildlife on the continent, with inhabitants ranging from hippo, elephant and buffalo to various species of antelope and a prolific birdlife.

Day 5-6

The salt pans of the Kalahari

Today you will continue your travels to the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans for a night at Nata Lodge – set among a mangrove of mokolwane palm trees. Summer rains in this region mean lots of good grazing, filling up of the floodplains and pans, phenomenal birdlife and the arrival of massed herds of zebra. Wild dog, cheetah, lion and Kalahari wildlife can be spotted year-round.

Day 6-7

Safari at Chobe National Park

Continue to Thebe River Safaris Lodge located in the Chobe National Park in northern Botswana. The Park is known around the world for its predators, but the elephant population is even more remarkable. Huge herds of these noble beasts roam its floodplains, woodlands and grasslands. Game drives and river cruises present great opportunities to get up close to these gentle giants as they make their way down to the banks of the Chobe River to quench their thirst.

Day 7-8

Adventure at Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe

Bid farewell to Botswana and enter Zimbabwe, home to one of the seven Natural Wonders of the World. You will spend the night at A’zambezi River Lodge located on the banks of the Zambezi River in Victoria Falls Town. Known as the adrenaline capital of Africa, the town offers world-class bungee jumping and white-water rafting, pulse-racing canoe trips, and unforgettable gorge-swinging. There are also plenty of activities to keep the more cautious enthralled, with a microlight, helicopter or light aircraft flight over the Falls and a relaxing cruise down the Zambezi River to fully take in these majestic surrounds.
