Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1

The Smoke that Thunders

Begin your tour on a high note as you take a guided tour of the Victoria Falls - the largest water curtain in the world, plummeting more than 100 metres into the Zambezi Gorge.

Afterwards head over to Toka Leya Camp, ideally situated on the banks of the Zambezi River in the east of the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, and spend the afternoon beside the swimming pool that overlooks this mighty river.

Days 2-4

A Linyanti adventure

Make your way to the northern region of the Chobe National Park - an area renowned for its large herds of elephants as well as unique species such as the elusive puku and the Chobe bushbuck. Enjoy your lunch on a catamaran boat cruise as you try and spot hippos on the riverbanks.

Fly north-east to the private Linyanti Concession and take a short game drive before arriving at the private Discoverer Camp. Almost as diverse as the Khwai River region, this concession encompasses a variety of floodplains, dry savannah and forest, and promises sweeping views and a high density of wildlife and bird species.

Explore the private northern sector of the concession as you go on game drives to explore the range of habitats and the resident wildlife of each. Keep your eyes peeled for the seldom-seen sitatunga in the waterways as well as the abundant plains game and their predators.

As an optional excursion, go on an almost full-day drive in the Savute Channel, enjoying lunch along its scenic banks.

Days 5-7

Kalahari jewel

Fly to a private concession close to the Moremi Game reserve, just north of the Khwai River and enter one of the most diverse areas in Northern Botswana. Explore this meeting place of forests, floodplains, wetlands and grasslands and the vast array of African animals that can be found here.

Be on the lookout for hippo and crocodile as well as buffalo and red lechwe as they graze along the banks of the Khwai River. Take a nature walk in the breathtaking gallery of riverine woodland that provides a sanctuary to birds, primates and leopard.

Return to Khwai Camp in the afternoons and spend evenings relaxing around the fire.

Days 8-10

Delta dreaming

Arrive in Maun, the base from which to explore the great Okavango Delta, before flying in a light aircraft to Xigera Camp. Situated in a permanently flooded region of the private area of the Moremi Game Reserve.

Experience these abundant wetlands as you go on mokoro safaris, island bush walks and motorboat cruises. A full day of game drives will have you searching for the resident elephant, lion, leopard and buffalo before you return to the camp where the outdoor facilities allow you to gaze up at the stars as you take an evening shower.

Day 11

Farewell to Africa

End off your tour on a high note as you take a flight to Maun Airport where your memorable safari holiday comes to an end.
