Enjoy a fascinating 4-day safari through Kenya's Lake Nakuru National Park and the Masai Mara Game Reserve.

This short tour provides an exciting taste of Kenya's diverse wilderness areas with opportunities to spot a variety of fantastic animals on your African safari.

The Rift Valley Lakes are famous for their abundance of flamingos and other water fowl, while the Masai Mara National Reserve is home to the country's greatest concentration of big game particularly cats.

Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1

A game drive in the Masai Mara

Begin your African safari as you drive across the picturesque Rift Valley on your way to the famous Masai Mara Game Reserve. Enjoy a delicious lunch at the Mara Sopa Lodge before heading out on a fantastic afternoon game drive in the reserve.

Day 2

See the Big 5 in the Mara

Begin your day early for another drive across the vast plains and rolling hills of the Masai Mara as you search for the Big 5 and other wildlife. Return in time for a late breakfast and a dip in the pool before lunch. After lunch, you’ll head out on another game drive in the afternoon.

The Masai Mara is home to Africa's Big 5, but is most famous for its lions. Look out for these big cats hunting on the plains especially between July and November when the annual migration makes its way to the reserve.

Day 3

Spot the flamingos in Lake Nakuru

Drive to the renowned Lake Nakuru National Park for an afternoon game drive. Expect to see thousands of flamingos as they flock to the shores of this soda lake to feed - a sight not to be missed. Return to Lake Nakuru Lodge in time for a delicious dinner and a good night's sleep.

Day 4

Day of departure

After breakfast, you’ll depart for Nairobi for a late morning drop-off at the airport for your onward flight or at a hotel in Nairobi where you can continue your adventures.

  • Meet and greet services with assistance at the airport or Hotel

  • 1 night at Lake Nakuru Lodge on full board basis
  • All transport and game drives on road safaris will be in a safari minibus, with an English speaking driver-guide, on shared basis
