Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1

Journey deep into the Okavango Delta

Arrive at Kanana Lodge, in the scenic Okavango Delta, where your adventure begins. Board your own mokoro (traditional canoe) filled with the necessary camping gear and set off to explore the waterways. Your camp and a cold drink await you on a secluded island, deep in the heart of the Delta.

Head out again into the lily-covered waterways while taking in the breathtaking surroundings. A knowledgeable guide will point out some of the interesting inhabitants of this environment including red lechwe, fish eagles, painted reed frogs, golden orb spiders and malachite kingfishers.

Spend your evening dining on a 3-course meal around a sit-down table, with a roaring campfire providing ambience.

Day 2

Explore the Delta Islands

Today you will venture out onto the wooded islands, home to over 40 species of large mammal, including the rare semi-aquatic sitatunga antelope. When the temperature rises it is time for you to return to your camp for lunch and a refreshing cold drink.

Rest in a hammock, before setting off to another island where you can search the canopies of the African ebony tree for Pel's fishing owl.

Day 3

Return to Maun

After an early morning activity, you’ll head back to Kanana Lodge in a mokoro. On arrival here your adventure comes to an end.
