Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive in Cape Town

On arrival in Cape Town, hop onto a private road transfer and check in at the stylish Cape Cadogan boutique hotel, set in the heart of Cape Town, for the next four nights. The hotel is ideally located close to several fine restaurants and it's only a short drive to attractions such as Table Mountain and the V&A Waterfront.

Days 2-4

Explore the Mother City

The Cape Cadogan's central location allows for easy access to some of Cape Town's finest attractions. Hike or take a trip up Table Mountain in the cable car to view the city from above and visit Cape Town's famous beautiful beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton to enjoy the combination of white sand and hot sun -  bear in mind however that the Atlantic Ocean is cold here!

The city centre buzzes with shops and restaurants for all tastes while the peerless V&A Waterfront is also nearby, a destination for you to enjoy all the shopping you could ever want as well as fine dining at the water's edge.

Leave enough time for a Cape Peninsula tour and a trip out to the ever-scenic Cape Winelands for a bit of wine tasting and a fine food experience.

Day 5

Travel to luxurious Lion Sands

After four nights of city life, move on to your safari destination: Lion Sands River Lodge in the game-rich Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve. Transfer to the Cape Town International Airport for your flight to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport in Nelspruit. Enjoy a scenic drive as you travel to Lion Sands and keep an eye out for animals - you'll see quite a few on your way in.

Days 6-7

Encounter the Big 5 in the Sabi Sands

Your luxurious thatched room at Lions Sands is the perfect place to relax and take in the great views. Sit on your private deck and gaze out over the Sabie River in search of thirsty animals and the many bird species of the area. As the heat wears on, pamper yourself to a treatment at the lodge's in-house spa.

Game viewing in the Sabi Sands is excellent, and a knowledgeable ranger will take you on game drives and nature walks where you have the opportunity to view the Big 5 as well as smaller animals. You'll go out on morning, afternoon and early evening game drives and will enjoy your meals around the boma campfire or even out in the bush, alfresco style.

Note that Lion Sands also has a unique Tree House where you can spend the night safely elevated from the ground but out in the Big 5 wilderness - the ultimate safari experience!

Day 8

Travel to the City of Gold

Return by road to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport for a flight to Johannesburg where you'll spend the night near the airport at the conveniently located Mondior Concorde Hotel. Sit down for a delicious meal at Bernoullis Restaurant after a refreshing dip in the pool. You can also enjoy a revitalising beauty treatment at the salon after your four nights in the wild.

Day 9

Fly to Livingstone

Catch your scheduled flight to Livingstone in Zambia where a shared road transfer will take you to the fully-inclusive Tongabezi Lodge. This tucked-away riverfront lodge is the perfect place for an intimate Victoria Falls experience: there are amazing views of the mighty Zambezi River from your room and you'll get personalised service.

Day 10

Explore Victoria Falls

Tongabezi is situated close to Victoria Falls but not too close which means you are in the perfect location to view some of Zambia's amazing attractions and get some peace and quiet too.

Besides a compulsory visit to Victoria Falls, you can choose from a huge range of adventures and activities in the area: go on game drives, cultural trips to local villages, elephant-back safaris and sunset river cruises - the list is virtually endless.
