Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive in Botswana

Arrive at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg and catch a connecting flight to Maun in Botswana as your exciting journey begins.

On arrival in Maun you will be met and transferred by short charter flight to the Chobe River area. From here you will transfer by road to Chobe Chilwero Lodge, situated on the escarpment that looks out over the Chobe River and its sprawling floodplains.

The lodge has long been one of Botswana's most sensual and elegant and offers a genuinely luxurious safari experience.

Day 2

Explore Chobe National Park

Today you can go on thrilling game drives and search for Chobe's impressive herds of elephants - especially prolific between June and October - as well as healthy populations of buffalo and lion. The area is also home to many antelope species as well as giraffe, leopard, baboon and has an amazing bird count.

A motorboat ride on the Chobe River offers a different approach to game viewing and you are sure to see crocodiles, hippos plus one or two surprises.

During the heat of the day you can relax at the lodge, take a dip in the pool or get pampered with a wide range of professional spa treatments in the comfort of your own room.

Days 3-4

Explore the Okavango Delta

After breakfast catch your scheduled charter flight to Baines' Camp, situated in a private Okavango Delta concession bordering the Moremi Game Reserve. Spend the following two nights in this eco-friendly camp enjoying an intimate and exclusive stay.

Your time here will be spent fully appreciating the world's biggest inland delta: set out on 4X4 game drives to search for the region's legendary wildlife; take guided nature walks for an insight into the environment's fascinating details; and enjoy traditional canoe and motorboat trips for the chance to be steered through the watery, wildlife-filled channels.

Return to camp to meet the three resident elephants - a unique and unforgettable experience - and sit down in the evening for a delicious meal under the stars.

Days 5-6

Explore more of the Okavango Delta

Today you will fly to Chief's Island, the largest landmass within the Okavango Delta, and settle in at Chief's Camp for the following two nights.

This area boasts a particular abundance of wildlife - especially animals that prefer a drier Okavango Delta environment. Go on game drives in search of predators like lion, cheetah, leopard and wild dog as they roam this diverse and always rewarding region.

The area is also home to the rare white rhino and is one of the only areas in Botswana where you can see this animal in its natural habitat. Enjoy morning, afternoon and evening game drives or go on a mokoro (canoe) trip along the Delta's many channels.

Spend the hottest part of the day back at camp, relaxing beside the pool or indulging in one of many spa treatments while you look out over your beautiful surroundings.

Day 7

Spend a night in Johannesburg

This morning you will leave the Okavango Delta behind as you catch a scheduled charter flight back to Maun where you will meet your connecting flight to Johannesburg.

On arrival, you will be met and transferred to Fairlawns Boutique Hotel, a grand hotel located in a leafy suburb. Spend the afternoon lounging beside the pool or set off to explore this pulsing city.

Days 8-14

Enjoy the ulimate paradise escape

Return to OR Tambo International Airport for your flight to Pemba in tropical northern Mozambique. Here you will transfer to your chartered flight to Medjumbe Private Island in the dazzling Quirimbas Archipelago. Spend the following seven nights in this secluded paradise with its crystal-clear waters and incredible coral reefs.

The island is only 1km long and a mere 500m wide and is completely surrounded by magnificent pearly white beaches. Make the most of this exclusivity as you stay in one of only 13 chalets on the entire island.

Snorkel and scuba dive to explore the hidden gem that is the nearby coral reef and enjoy other water activities like wind surfing, water skiing and sea kayaking before ending off with a private dinner for two with your bare feet in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean.

Day 15

Return to Johannesburg

Enjoy one last walk on the beach before returning to Pemba by charter flight, from where you will catch your flight to Johannesburg and connect with your onward travel arrangements.
