Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Dar es Salaam

Arrive in Dar es Salaam and transfer to the Oyster Bay Hotel, overlooking Indian Ocean. Relax beside the pool or take a leisurely stroll though the professionally landscaped gardens.

Days 2-4

See game in Selous Game Reserve

Wake up to an early breakfast before heading to the airport for your flight to the Selous Game Reserve. From the Selous Airstrip you’ll enjoy a scenic drive as you travel to Sand Rivers Selous – an intimate camp on the banks of the Rufiji River.

Spend the next few days exploring the wilderness in open-top Land Rovers to search for the diverse wildlife found here. A gentle river cruise will provide ample sightings of hippo, crocodile and monkeys.

For something more adventurous, opt for an overnight fly-camping excursion. Experience a night 'out in the open' in specially adapted mosquito nets.

Days 5-7

Go scuba-diving on Mafia Island

Enjoy breakfast before you make your way to the Kiba Airstrip for your flight to Mafia Island. You are met on arrival and transferred to Kinasi Lodge.

Mafia Island is a prime scuba-diving destination, offering varied marine life in the coral reefs that surround the island. Spend some time with a qualified diving instructor, or explore the marine wildlife centre. Relax in this tranquil setting, soaking up the laid back island atmosphere.

Day 8

Time to head home

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Dar es Salaam, arriving in time to catch your connecting flight home.
