Today you will take a drive to the scenic Cape Winelands and Spier Estate, situated just outside the historic town of Stellenbosch. Go on a formal wine tasting tour or just relax on the sweeping lawns with a picnic from the deli.

While the golf enthusiasts enjoy a round on a championship golf course, the rest of the family can visit the Cheetah Outreach Project where they'll learn about the conservation of cheetahs in South Africa and even get the chance to stroke these agile beauties as they relax in the shade.

Spier also offers daily pony and horse carriage rides so there is truly enough to keep the entire family busy. Relax in the chic, African-themed Moyo restaurant in the evenings for exquisite food and fun African face-painting.

Today you will wave the Winelands goodbye as you drive to the Klein Karoo, a semi-desert region, and the Mooiplaas Guest House in South Africa's ostrich capital - Oudtshoorn - where you'll spend the next two days enjoying farm life. Go on a tour of the Cango Caves to explore wondrous subterranean caverns and you can even ride an ostrich at one of the ostrich show farms!

Continue your journey as you head for the scenic Garden Route and the Kurland Hotel in ever-popular Plettenberg Bay - your comfortable base for the following days' thrilling activities.

The Garden Route is full of wonderful beaches and exciting attractions, many of them within striking distance of Plettenberg Bay. We recommend a trip to Monkeyland and the Knysna Elephant Sanctuary - great places for parents and kids alike.

Kurland is ideal for families: children enjoy their own playroom, go on pony rides, play tennis or ride bicycles. They can even go boating with their parents or merely have fun splashing in the swimming pool.

Today you can enjoy the day at Plettenberg Bay. A Marine Encounters Tour has been organised for you and you get to take to the water to learn about the abundant marine life of the area. Children may find this trip especially exhilarating as they'll get up close to dolphins and may even see a whale carving its way through the blue waters of the Indian Ocean.

Head into the dense, beautiful Tsitsikamma Forest where you can slide from tree to tree via an unforgettable Tsitsikamma Treetops Adventure. The enthusiastic and professional guides will explain the fantastic ecology of the forest as you rest between swings.

Now that you have seen the forest from the height of the tree tops, walk through the nature trails on the ground for a different perspective on this environment. After your exciting canopy tour, make your way back to Kurland for a night of relaxation.

This morning you will conclude your journey as you return your car in Port Elizabeth and fly back to Cape Town or take the alternative scenic Route 62 back to the Mother City.
