Getting Around Uganda

There are a number of public transport options in Uganda ranging from the cavalier and high-speed mini bus taxis to buses and trains.

None would really be recommended on the grounds of safety and reliability.

Self-drive tours are an option but again it is a moot point as to how safe Ugandan roads are, not to mention their condition, particularly in the wet seasons.

The best option is fly-in safaris and to use the local tour operators for the ground arrangements.
