General Restrictions

The following details relate to holders of adult normal passports (requirements for children may be different), if any other type of passport or travel document is held, entry requirements should be checked with the relevant embassy or consulate

Visitors must hold return or onward tickets, all documents required for their next destination and sufficient funds for maintenance during their stay

Passport Validity

Passports must be valid for 6 months upon entry

Visa General

The following DO NOT require a visa:

1) Nationals of Uganda

2) For stays up to 6 months by nationals of Angola, Antigua & Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Burundi, Comores Islands, Cyprus, Eritrea, Fiji, Gambia, Grenada, Hong Kong (SAR passports), Ireland, Jamaica, Kenya, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Malta, Mauritius, Rwanda, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Solomon Islands, St. Vincent & Grenadines, Swaziland, Tanzania, Tonga, Vanuatu, Zambia & Zimbabwe

Visa Notes

Visas are required by all except the above to enter Uganda; this can be obtained from the Ugandan High Commission, or at the International airport

Entry requirements may change from time to time and should be checked with the High Commission of Uganda

Transit General

Required by all except those as noted above and:

1) Persons continuing their journey within 24 hours to another country by the same or first connecting aircraft provided holding confirmed tickets and documents for onward travel and do not leave the airport
