The day begins with chimp tracking in Kibale Forest, famous for its many species of primate. While hiking through the rainforest look out for red-tailed and colobus monkeys.

After lunch you can enjoy a nature walk of a different kind in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, well-known for its diversity of birds and primates. Spend another relaxing evening at Kibale Forest Camp after an active day of exploring.

Start the day off with a stroll in the foothills of the majestic Rwenzori Mountains. Then meet the locals and learn about village life before being introduced to a traditional witchdoctor.

After this spend some time looking for buffalo, waterbuck and other wildlife during your drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park to Mweya Safari Lodge.

Begin the day with a drive to the Uganda Kob (antelopes) mating ground and keep an eye out for lion, elephant and other game. After lunch take a boat cruise along the peaceful Kazinga Channel.

Observe the prolific birdlife and hippos cooling off near the boat. Spend the night at the Mweya Safari Lodge after a fun-filled day.

Then take a drive through verdant countryside to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, passing traditional homesteads and admiring the beautiful scenery along the way. Spend the night at the contemporary Engagi Lodge.

Today sees the highlight of your Uganda journey as you hike through Bwindi Forest looking for the endangered gorillas.

Be captivated by the exquisite rainforest and the human-like way in which the gorillas interact with each other.

The day draws to a close with good food, a cold drink and view of the forest from your Engagi Lodge balcony.

It's time to leave Bwindi Forest and head for Lake Mburo National Park.

Take a dreamy boat ride on the lake or go on an exciting game drive before winding down the evening at the park's Mantana Tented Camp.

Get an early start to the day by joining an experienced ranger on an energising nature walk. Go on a final game drive on the way out of the park and transfer to Jinja, the source of the Nile.

The evening brings a quiet dinner and a good night's rest at The Haven - a relaxed river lodge.

Visit the true source of the Nile, the spot where this famous river starts its journey through Africa. Be mesmerised by the Bujagali Falls and discover the mysteries of Jinja.
