Buhoma Lodge is one of the original camps in Uganda's Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home of the mountain gorillas. The camp is located opposite the entrance to the park and enjoys views over the forest canopy.

The camp has an intimate, homely atmosphere and the cottages and furnishings have recently been upgraded to provide you with a more comfortable environment. During the cool evenings, you can sit by the fire in the lounge and chat about your day's adventures.

This is a good base from which to trek into the ancient rainforest in search of the mountain gorillas. Other less strenuous activities include scenic forest walks, birdwatching, and searching for smaller primates.
