Buhoma Lodge is one of the original camps in Uganda's Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home of the mountain gorillas. The camp is located opposite the entrance to the park and enjoys views over the forest canopy.

The camp has an intimate, homely atmosphere and the cottages and furnishings have recently been upgraded to provide you with a more comfortable environment. During the cool evenings, you can sit by the fire in the lounge and chat about your day's adventures.

This is a good base from which to trek into the ancient rainforest in search of the mountain gorillas. Other less strenuous activities include scenic forest walks, birdwatching, and searching for smaller primates.

Buhoma Lodge is warm and inviting and it's ideal location makes it perfect for gorilla and chimpanzee trekking.

Meals at Buhoma Lodge are freshly prepared using local produce and are served in the central dining area.

A variety of international dishes are served, as well as local dishes such as matoke and g-nut sauce.

Buhoma Lodge has 8 en suite cottages built from sustainable, local materials, each with a private veranda where you can relax and admire the views across to the tropical rain forests.
