A 4-day safari tracking gorillas in Lake Mburo and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Parks, Uganda.

Experience the wonder of being up-close to free-roaming mountain gorillas, on this exciting Ugandan gorilla trek.

Travel through Lake Mburo National Park, where you may see indigenous wildlife such as the topi, bushpig, waterbuck and buffalo.

Travel on towards the renowned Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, and trek through the rain forest in search of the gentle mountain gorillas hidden in the thick undergrowth.

Day 1: See the Wildlife of Lake Mburu
- Itinerary
  Enter Lake Mburo National Park and as you head towards peaceful Mihingo Lodge, look out for some of the indigenous wildlife in the park such as topi, impala, warthog and buffalo.
  After lunch, enjoy a boat ride on the lake or get adventurous with a game drive.

Day 2: Travel to Bwindi National Park
- Itinerary
  Wake up early for a guided bush walk along some of the trails near Mihingo Lodge. After breakfast, continue with a packed lunch to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.
  Along the way you will pass traditional Ugandan homesteads and enjoy the breathtaking scenery.
  Spend the following two nights at Buhoma Lodge on full board basis.

Day 3: Track the Mountain Gorillas
- Itinerary
  Hike through the forests of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in search of the gentle mountain gorillas.
  This is the highlight of your safari, but expect to walk a long distance in muddy conditions. It will all be worthwhile as you watch the gorillas eat, play and rest.
  Observing these creatures in their natural environment from close quarters is a truly unique experience.

Day 4: Return to Kampala
- Itinerary
  After breakfast you will depart the Bwindi forests for Kampala, the nation's capital. Remember to take some photographs at the Uganda equator before you arrive in Kampala at dusk.
  An extra night and an extra gorilla permit can be added by paying a supplement at the time of booking.

Included in tour:

1 night Mihingo Lodge in a twin/double room on a full board basis (includes all meals and game activities)
2 nights Buhoma Lodge in a twin/double room on a full board basis (includes all meals)
Ground transport per private 4WD safari vehicle
English speaking driver/guide
Bottled mineral water throughout the safari
Entrance fees and ranger fees for national parks
Game activities in the parks as per the itinerary (does not included the gorilla trek - see notes)
